Just a Momma with a Camera, Looking to Hit PAUSE on my own Life.
Hey ALL! It's me, Nicole. I am a momma, a wifey, a fur-momma, and a lover of storytelling. The boss woman behind two photography businesses, and the Manager of Nikii Pix Studios, a studio available to rent for all sorts of creatives.
The chaser of littles while capturing giggles, and the person getting Momma's out from behind their own cameras to capture the RAW, the REAL, and the EMOTIONS we each feel in MOTHERHOOD.
My dream started a long time ago. I was one who always had a camera in my hand, and was documenting one memory or another from childhood and beyond (just ask my friends growing up, they "loved" me having a camera all the time... )
I felt an amazing pull and calling that I needed to capture all the beauty that GOD puts on earth. To hold onto the moment a little longer. I felt something deeper in my journey, but I just need that push.
But this dream didn't start until my amazing photog bestie (and my own wedding photographer) gave me that push, and this journey all started with the words, " if you love it, make it happen". And I really haven't looked back.
I photographed all genres when I started, but the pull as I became a mother myself kept coming back to my own fears and reservations. I knew my mom friends were also struggling with self-image barriers, along with feeling completely overwhelmed with day-to-day life. I knew I needed to pivot and shift my business to what it is today.
As each year passes and my own little ones seem to grow another year older, I am reminded that GOD has blessed me with this calling. The calling to help other momma's hit pause, to give yourself grace and to be ok with the chaos, because each of our journeys are beautiful!

3. I am a fur momma, I have two kitty angels and two puppy angels watching over me, and also two more wild ones at home. They are my babies just as much as my kids are, so I encourage others to include their fur babies in our sessions! It also means that my studio space is totally pet friendly too, and my Bella might make an appearance there too!

5. I am a lover of holding onto memories. So being able to look back on pictures and see them again not only keeps them close to me but also tells our story. As a family, we also love to sit and look through the pictures of the kiddos when they were little. It tells their story and they love to hear about the things they did when they were little.

6. I am a big sucker for the witty t-shirts. If you see me out and about or even in our session, theres a very good chance my shirt will have some saying on it. From me being a momma who cusses too much (this is true), to implying that we should do “shots” (yes, pun intended). It’s my weakness, I might need to seek some help, or build a bigger closet… LOL

8. I am a CRIME SHOW JUNKIE… And also a huge lover of the CRIME JUNKIE PODCAST. To decompress I will read a J.D. Robb “in death” book or watch a crime show (hello, criminal minds). Added bonus: I actually have a criminal justice degree as well and was in the field. I left it mainly because our criminal justice system needs a major overhaul and I found something in photography that truly lights my soul on fire.

I promise you that your session will be one that you will never forget.
When I pivoted Nikii Pix to what it is today, I knew that I need to be someone that a momma could go to and know that she can take those fears, those doubts, those worries aside and just be present.
With any session with me, you will find that you will get someone who will take on the weight that you might feel planning your vision to make it come alive. Each session starts with our intro chat. This is so important as you are trusting me with showing you just how beautiful you are during your pregnancy, to trusting me with your most precious little person once your baby is earthside.
This is why the intro chat is so important, you need to feel comfortable walking into your session knowing that I will handle your newborn as if he or she were my own baby.
You will also have the weight lifted in planning your session, with a questionnaire customized to help me know exactly what your vision is, to a private pinterest board to drop our inpsiration ideas into, to complete access to my Client Closet and a private wardrobe fitting appointment before our session. And to round it off with planning, you also will have access to an online styling company to give you a mood board.....

When you book a session with me, you can expect nothing less than EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE. To me, one thing that I have noticed lately is the customer service has declined in most areas where we need it most.
I pride my business on making sure that you have clear and honest communication from the moment you look around on this website, to contacting me, and throughout the whole process.
So once you book with me, communication with me comes in emails, texts, and even in in-person brainstorms to make sure that no detail is left behind.
Even as we approach our session, we will be in contact to make sure the location is still the right one for you and that you are walking into your session feeling relaxed and confident.
After our session, we will get together (typically 3-4 weeks after our session) for our REVEAL appointment. This is another hands-on approach that I offer that gives you the abilitiy to see your edited images, and to have me walk you step by step on how to view your gallery, how to choose your products and/or digitals, and how to download what digitals you purchase. All steps are easily laid out for you.
I also will be here for you in weeks, months even years down the road when you need another session, need help printing or may just want to borrow a piece from the client closet. The client experience doesn't really ever stop.

Peek into my life.. and my WHY.....
As a momma of two, a wife, and a fur-momma. I know how fast each and every day, even year goes. I truly believe in the saying "the days may be long but the years are short".
It seems that every time I turn around lately, my kids have grown another inch. So not only are they my WHY, they are my REASON to not only be better, but to also to never forget to chase your dream.
They push me every single day to make sure that I show up and can be the best for them and for you. They love knowing that momma is out there capturing moments for others (and usually means my camera isn't aimed on them too....)

My passion is also to make sure that as they grow older they can look back and see that their dad and I were present, we were taking a moment to really hold onto those memories, because we only have a short 18 years with them until they are off on their own journey. And this momma isn't ready for that.
